• Organize references by workflow stage and evidence type (dataset, method, benchmark, review).
• Track provenance fields (source, year, modality, species, scale, access restrictions).
• Add update cadence and deprecation policy for stale references.

Technical anchors to preserve

• Atlas should be queryable and versioned, not static prose only.
• Every referenced resource should map to at least one technical-track unit.
• Citation hygiene and attribution must be explicit for all reused figures.
